Royal Savoy - Ocean Resort - Savoy Signature Funchal , Funchal (Madeira)

I splurged a bit extra on the room, but it was totally worth it! The comfy rooms and lovely lobbies made my stay cozy, even though the water damage put a damper on things. The indoor kitchen was a nice touch, even though I didn't use it. The service was top-notch, especially at reception, despite some tired faces. The location was perfect for exploring on foot, with a mix of relaxation by the sea or heading to town. Dining was a hit or miss, with a wide range of options but lacking in service. Overall, a mixed experience with some great highlights.

The hotel offers a wonderful sea view, spacious balcony, small kitchen and seating area, large comfy queen size bed, spacious bathroom, and plenty of storage space. However, some areas were quite shabby with scuffed drawers in the bathroom and paint peeling and cracked on the balcony. The dining room doesn't offer an À la carte menu every night which is a downside, possibly due to timeshare occupants receiving discounts on food, making prices expensive.

My recent stay at the hotel was a mix of pros and cons. The rooms had an eclectic mix of worn-out furniture and mismatched artwork, but they were wonderful overall, with spacious layouts, a well-stocked kitchen area, and stunning sea views. However, some aspects could use improvement.

The hotel offers big and cozy rooms with some unpleasant smells in the corridors. The service is outstanding, especially accommodating special food needs. The location is wonderful despite some dated aspects, and the dining experience, while good, lacks variety. The facilities are generally good, with some dated features.
